MA International Journalism

The one year MA in International Journalism I did in Cardiff University provided me with priceless knowledge and learning about the practice of journalism from an international perspective. It also taught me extensively about the history and background of the main events of this last century. The teaching included numerous amounts of assignments where we had to develop our journalistic skills as in a news desk: contacting sources, doing interviews and contrasting our information.

Principal Aims of the Course
  • Deepen student understanding of issues in international journalism
  • Raise students’ professional skills and knowledge
  • Equip students with media-orientated research and study skills
  • Assist students to master rigorous analytical work, so they are able to produce well-researched essays, journalistic assignments and dissertations to deadline
  • Enhance understanding of the effect of interactive technologies on the practice of journalism
  • Explore the role and function of the journalist in different cultures
